Giants - Uncle 2
The Uncle giant snoozes outside St George's Hall on the second day of his quest to find his niece, Little Girl Giant. The previous day he had emerged from the icy waters of Salthouse Dock, before roaming through the city centre, and out to Stanley Park in North Liverpool, where he slept before continuing his journey to find his niece.
Although its hard to get an idea of the scale of the vast Uncle giant in this picture, he reached a towering 50 feet (15 metres) whilst striding around the city, and took a team of 31 operators to move his giant arms and legs.
Each of the puppets is made from wood and a steel frame, with their hair and eyebrows made from horses hair.
